When Did Your Success Become Suffocating? Navigating Professional Death & Rebirth

When did your success begin suffocating you?

Why is shifting your strategy, tactics or focus not relieving the suffocation?

And why is it proving difficult—like a jumping of tracks you cannot quite name or reach—to fully realize the entirety of your work, beyond the strategic, results-oriented parts that created your success?

In my experience, this is a particular moment in time: a threshold unlike others you’ve crossed in developing your body of work and growing your business, because it requires a kind of professional death and rebirth that most of us feel ill-equipped (and therefore terrified) to navigate.

There are karmic, social and structural reasons for this—and they go mostly hidden or unspoken, because they are culturally endemic, and because we’ve, understandably, internalized them as personal to us.

This makes what is really going on with your body of work and your business difficult to diagnose accurately—and nearly impossible to remedy with strategy, tactics or mindset.

We’re diving into this in today’s episode of Sacred & Strategic—teasing out and naming three, fundamental karmic, social and structural patterns that, in my experience, keep you and your work stuck at this threshold of its full-realization.

We pause to do a practice of reflection for each of these patterns, using the one-syllable mantra, duṃ.

And I share what I’ve found will allow you to successfully cross this threshold when you’re confronted with all three at once.

Take a listen.
