Can we talk about wholeness?

Can we talk about wholeness?

I help professional women lead from wholeness.

It sounds hokey.

And vague.

And too simple.

(Plus when I started doing this work in 2011, it wasn’t considered “effective” as a value proposition. “People don’t walk around thinking they want wholeness; they want a solution to a specific problem.”)

But that’s where it started—my own desire for professional wholeness.

My own pursuit of running a law practice from wholeness.

And, isn’t that what we all want, really?

Wholeness.

(We do walk around feeling a longing for wholeness.)

Our economy and our culture have split us in (at least) half:

right- and left- brain

masculine and feminine

strategic and sacred

But we—we are both.

And that fundamental integrity was stolen from us.

There is historical evidence of this explicit split in Western culture during the transition from feudalism to capitalism in Europe (from 1500-1800): the Age of Reason; the 200-year persecution of witches (200 years!); the enslavement and sale of African peoples; and the colonization of the Americas.

If capitalism didn’t require it, as some historians argue, it did exploit it.

(You didn’t know that I majored in European history, did you?)

I believe that your longing—visceral, persistent and unnamed—is to reclaim what was stolen.

And to weave back together what you know to be a false divide with you (and your profession).

It has the power to transform your business and your life—our culture and our economy.

And it’s time.

(You are poised—and you are called—to lead in this way. I see you.)

Reclaiming the Sacred is your path to doing the work you really want to do how you really want to do it—without sacrificing professional respect or financial stability—and stepping into your natural capacity to lead.

Reclaiming the Sacred is how you will create a potent (and profitable) new body of work that:

  • integrates all of your experience, training, and expertise—with your depth, passion and brilliance;

  • uniquely positions you as a leader of holistic change in your profession.

Reclaiming the Sacred is how we untangle, heal and evolve 800 years of socio-economic history.
