Your intentions for this are different.

How you use intention to untangle the root of what derails your body of work’s evolution is different from how you typically work with intention.

Because you are working with a karmic knot.

Your intention will not (typically) be a prayer to acquire or achieve something.

(Your practice of mantra—and your intention for your practice of mantra—is not about Sacred gift-giving. It is not about “leveraging the Universe” for your own aims.)

That type of intention will create (or perpetuate) karma.

It will set things in motion that your soul will then seek to resolve.

And, from a tantric perspective, you will be bound to that karma—the natural consequences of your intentions and goals (without knowing the full extent of what that means right now).

The type of intention that will metabolize your karma is of a different sort.

It is an expression of your root-source desire.

And a request for sacred intervention.

To unhook you from the pattern that binds you.

It is a laying bare.

A handing over.

A request for insight or revelation.

An unburdening.

Or a confrontation of truth.

That interrupts the pattern of your karma.

You do that moment by moment—using what is present in the moment.

(This is really important—and why so many of your practices and approaches are likely not reaching it. The present moment is outside of your karma—and therefore, where you untangle it.)

Your present moment intention can be an inquiry, a request, or a curiosity.

But it is simple—and it cuts to the root of it.

When you lay this type of intention on your practice, it takes you beyond your constant and conscious ego desires—to connect you with the truth of what you really want:

Your root-source desire.

The one that is the fabric of your longing—and therefore will satisfy your longing.

That is no longer a substitute, or a placebo, or a half measure, for what’s calling in your heart and aching in your bones.

And it will catch exactly what’s happening in and through you—and offer you what you need.

In a way that is both subtle and deep—and precisely calibrated.

(It will not send you meandering.)

Through the sound energy of your mantra and this type of simple, root-truth, present-moment intention:

You access that vast sacred container—of the field of all possibilities.

You connect to the dance of the sacred force of creation.

You attune to the wisdom of its rhythm and its flow.

And you say, Teach Me.

Its wisdom becomes your wisdom.

Its will becomes your will.

Its action becomes your action.

And things change.

Beyond your wildest imagination.

This way of working with intention is an artform, not a formula.

But there are techniques that will help you cultivate the art of setting highly effective root-source, present-moment intentions for your practice.

So that you can intentionally use it to untangle the root of what’s distracting and derailing you from the work that wants to come through you.

Beginning Friday, April 10, I’m going to teach them to you over the arc of a 3-part workshop series, Intention, Sacred Practice & Strategic Precision.

I’ve honed these techniques over more than two decades by working directly with my teachers on my stickiest, most intractable patterns; watching and listening to my teachers work with other students; and working with my clients on their stickiest, most intractable patterns.

And I don’t know that this is being taught anywhere.

I hope you’ll join me.

Intention, Sacred Practice & Strategic Precision:
A 3-Part Workshop Series

Join me for this intimate, three-part workshop series on using mantra and intention to untangle your karmic knot and sharpen your strategic precision.

You are welcome to register for each workshop individually. But taken together, they trace an arc of skill development for mastering your use of sacred practice to strategically evolve your body of work.

The workshops teach techniques for crafting your intention, calibrating your practice, and cultivating your discernment in a way that will untangle your karmic knot—and translate the wisdom of your practice into strategic action.

I’ve honed these techniques over more than two decades by working directly with my teachers; by watching and listening to my teachers work with other students; and by working with my clients.

And I don’t know of them being taught anywhere.

The integration sessions provide my focused guidance & insight to apply your intention, practice and discernment to the patterns, questions and decisions that are arising as your body of work evolves.

And they allow you to internalize the techniques shared in the workshops.

With this rhythm, we will trace the following arc:

“Describing working with Rebecca is like trying to describe learning to float. She creates the container to learn to float. She is practiced at floating. She knows all the secrets to floating—and what happens when you are learning to float. And she is practiced at teaching floating. There are very few people who are actually practiced at teaching floating. But Rebecca’s one of them.”
