Surely, you should have gotten there by now.
Surely, you should have gotten there by now. (Am I right?)
You’ve done the strategic work. (You’re not new at this.)
You’ve done the deeper work. You know where your patterns come from (but, maddeningly, that hasn’t freed you of them).
You’ve done the esoteric, energetic and spiritual work.
And yet, you’re still confronted by that same thing—again and again.
You gain clarity and conviction. You claim your brilliance and leadership. You take the next right action.
And then, the chain falls off of your bicycle as you’re riding it.
That is a karmic knot.
You cannot untangle it, because your practices cannot reach it.
They have gotten you here.
(Despite how it might feel, you are not doing the same work over again.)
But you will continue to stall and spin, if you expect your current practices to untangle it.
Because they do not—and will not—untangle the root of a karmic knot.
(They won’t even reach it.)
That is not what they were designed to do.
This is true energetically—and it is true physiologically.
Karma is energetic.
It is an energetic memory of a pattern of past action.
That creates a prism.
The Sacred flows through it, and it creates interference that reflects how you experience that flow.
To shift how you experience the flow, you must untangle the knotted pattern of your karma.
Your karma is a pattern of interference in your energy body.
Which means you need to untangle it in your energy body.
With practices designed to powerfully and precisely reach it there—and transform it.
This is the problem.
Some of your practices, like therapy, strategy, mindset and even mindfulness, point you to the knot.
They tell you something about it—that you have to process, understand, and often believe, with your mind.
They don’t untangle the root of what distracts and derails you where it exists (in your energy body)—or work with it directly (as a karmic knot).
And they don’t take you (or it) out of the patterns of our collective karma that created it.
Because they carry the assumptions, values, meanings, and explanations of those patterns.
Some of your practices, like somatic experiencing, myofascial release and bodywork, alleviate symptoms of the knot.
They release the pattern of its expression in your muscles, tissue and nervous system.
But they do not untangle it in your energy body—where it exists.
And so, after a period of relief, you will likely experience the symptoms again.
And some of your practices, like reiki, pranic healing, and energy work, steward lifeforce energy to untangle the knot for you.
They facilitate a shift in the pattern of interference in your energy body.
But they don’t teach you how to untangle it for yourself—or give you the tools to do that.
Karma is a spiritual law of action.
It is an energetic memory of your habituated and accumulated past actions—as a soul.
And it is yours to untangle.
(That doesn’t mean you have to do it alone.)
There is a story in the great, epic myth of the Rāmāyaṇa that, as taught to me,* explains this phenomenon—and our relationship with the Sacred.
Rāma (that’s you—and also God) is on a quest to find Sita, his beloved, who has been kidnapped by the demon, Ravena. (All of these are aspects of both the Sacred and you).
Hanumān, Rāma’s best friend and devoted servant (and also God), who possesses superhuman strength and the ability to fly, scouts out where Sita is hidden.
Hanumān has the ability to rescue Sita and reunite her with Rāma—and he could.
But he does not.
Instead, he tells Rāma where Sita is—and how to get there.
Rāma receives information from Hanumān that guides him, but Rāma has to act himself. Hanumān does not act for him. In fact, he intentionally refrains.
Rāma needs to reclaim that which is most sacred to him.
It is only through acting that Rāma is whole.
So it is for you.

I would not have dared to hope for the things that have changed in my life because of this work.
Nothing short of magic has happened, and I cannot explain it. None of the other work I’ve done has touched this.
If she is still taking clients, do anything you can to work with her.
